It has good mechanical property after the heat-treatment with small distortion and nice mirror process under the heat-treatment and has good nitrogenated capacity, electronic capacity and welding capacity. Used for high precision mirror plastic mould and high appearance home electronic plastic mould.

SAE-AISI P21 steel is a tool steel. Cited properties are appropriate for the hardened (H) condition. P21 is the designation in both the SAE and AISI systems for this material.
